A gentle drifting around the degraded mangroves and salinas close to Kampot on 2nd July 2012 produced:
Red-necked Stint 15
Curlew Sandpiper 8
Marsh Sandpiper 3
Black-winged Stilt 5
Whimbrel 50
Greater Sandplover 20
Lesser Sandplover 25
No sign of the Grey-tailed Tatler's seen by Tom and Howie at the same site recently but a lot of the waders were in flight heading off to high tide feeding areas in the salinas, this area will repay further exploration and will be amazing in the autumn...
Thanks to Rob Overtoon for the loan of his boat and boatman!
Simon Mahood, Sarah Brook + parents of the latter.
That's great Simon. I wish I could see those too.
